Amazon’s new “Amazon Tools for Academics” extension for their AcademiaMillion website can be used for several different courses, including the course AmzScout. For this tool, students can use “Algebra, Geometry, Algebra, Composition, and Probability” to input all the courses they wish to use the calculator on.
The basics of how the calculator works are fairly straightforward. Students can input the course number, which is either first or last letter of each course name and a “math class number” for any extra material students may need. Then, they enter the number of terms in that course and click the “calculate” button.
Once students have completed this step, they can click the “+” sign to add more courses to the list. By default, each course will be added as one term for that course. But once students have entered their “total” for that course, they can click the” +” button to add that course again and then get the terms for that course to the right side of the program window.
The AmzScout FBA Calculator can now be found at the left-hand side of the main page. Clicking on the “Algebra, Geometry, Algebra, Composition, and Probability” course button will launch the calculator. This page should only contain a term and math class number if that course is an official AmzScout course.
After entering the course and math class number into the calculator, students can then input the course name to access all of the formulas for the AmzScout FBA calculator. Students can save the formula and then click the “apply” button to add this formula to the calculator.
As previously mentioned, the calculators will only function with the course name and the math class number as input. So students cannot enter the entire course name and then just press “apply” for the formula. The students must enter the complete course name and the math class number, or they will receive an error message.
The math class number is also used for math programs that already exist on the AmzScout website. Students can find these by either visiting the website and typing in “College Math” or by clicking the link to “College Math” at the top of the website. After this process, students can then click the “Algebra, Geometry, Algebra, Composition, and Probability” course button and enter the course.
Students should also be aware that the AmzScout FBA Calculator will only be able to be used with the courses they already have access to on the website. Students will not be able to use the calculator on any courses that have been approved by the United States Department of Education.
If students own AmzScout free books, they will be able to purchase them through a link on the website. Once these books are purchased, they will be listed on the AmzScout.com homepage. Students will then be able to view these books using the AmzScout FBA calculator and input the information to obtain the equation and formula.
Of course, students should remember that they should always ensure that they have a working computer when using the AmzScout FBA Calculator. Using it on a mobile device or a hand-held unit will not be a good idea.
The programs are easy to use, but the word processing functions of the calculators may be frustrating. Students may also want to learn to use their own keyboard for some of the equations. It will make life easier if they are familiar with using the keyboard to input information.
Students should also be aware that they are able to review their work with the option to use the AmzScout FBA calculator but will only be able to see the answer once they have entered all of the data in the equation. calculation.
